Which Blu-ray DVD players will successfully play High-definition discs created by Bogart/Arabesk 4?
There is a helpful thread taking place on the Casablanca Forum where colleagues are listing the DVD players they have had first-hand success playing High-definition discs created by Bogart/Arabesk 4. You can access this thread by clicking here .
I have also posted the comments/findings from our colleagues below: OPPO Digital BDP-83 Universal Blu-ray Player Sony BDP-S470 Blu-ray player (for thorough review & comments click here) Blu- Ray Disc from the 4000Pro. Used a Memorex BD-RE 25GB Settings: Authoring Mode: AVCHD Media Used: Blu-ray 25gb Out of 6 blue-ray players 5 played successfully:
Successfully played back on the following models: (UK colleague so model numbers may vary in North America)
Samsung BD-P1600/XAA plays AVCHD from Arabesk recorded to BD disks but not when recorded to DVD-R. Let's not forget an all around and best bang for the buck: Play Station 3. ALSO the new JVC is slated to play AVCHD. Also be aware certain PANASONIC BLU-RAY players will work for a limited time. It has been tested that it has something to do with the read angle of the player's laser after a 30 minute period. This is the reason why some of AVCHD ARABESK discs are stuttering and pausing, not the mechanics of the original burn.
