What You Should Know & Be Able To Do
What follows is a list of the operations you should already know about or be comfortable with to be successful in this online workshop:
  • Connecting your Casablanca (set-up of editor, trackball, keyboard, monitors)
  • The difference between the main menu screens (Edit, Transitions, Titling)
  • How to navigate between main menu screens
  • Basic importing of video footage (scenes) into Casablanca
  • Basic use of the Edit Menu: Navigating the Scene Bin and Storyboard
  • How to add scenes (clips) to the Storyboard
  • Basic use of the Titling Menu (apply a simple title to the Storyboard)
  • Basic use of the Transitions Menu (adding a simple transition effect)
