Handbrake is free software for ripping off your own DVDs...well, not ripping off like that!  Instead ripping like copying off a DVD.

A little while ago I had the need to take video from a DVD that was created some time ago -- the original video footage is nowhere to be found, and the video scenes were cleared from the hard-drive of the video editor.  So after a little research I came across software called  'Handbrake'. 

This is great free software (both Windows and Mac versions) that allow you to copy/rip off the films from  DVDs you create on your own video editor -- yes Handbrake successfully ripped projects off my DVD created in Casablanca's DVD Arabesk software -- and convert to a video file that can then be uploaded to a video hosting website. It will not work with commercial and other copyrighted protected DVDs.

You may ask why I didn't just use Ksebara to bring the video back into my Casablanca Scene Bin?  That is a good question but I was not looking to edit the material but only to upload it to a website.  This was quicker than loading in via Ksebara and then re-exporting to my computer for online uploading.
