Ask The Expert: Scenes are Missing in my Scene Bin and 'Filter Active' is showing... help!

On my main edit screen, I see "filter active" above my scene bin.  How can I turn this off? I must have accidentally turned this feature on... I can only see the scenes on my storyboard in my scene bin. All the other scenes are missing. They seem to be there and taking up hard drive space. I just can't see them.

ANSWER:
The 'Filter Active' display means you have one of two functions engaged under the 'Opt' button in the Edit Menu.  To 'get back to normal' perform one of the following:

1. Left click on the 'Opt' button in your Edit menu
2. Left click on the button 'Group selection'
3. Left click the 'All' button at bottom of the Group Selection menu
4. Left click the 'Close' button and your scenes should all appear in your Scene Bin

OR

1. Left click on the 'Opt' button in your Edit menu
2. Left click to add/replace the check mark by 'Show already added scenes'
3. Left click the 'Close' button and your scenes should all return to your Scene Bin
